A tryst with the ducks

Friends, this tale belongs to the times when Västerås is taken by the 'ice age' and the whole landscape is snow clad. Little Anya has her all terrain vehicle converted into a snow mobile during such days and likes to ride out with that, noticing all the small details around her and making funny sounds, often attracting the attention of people. They greet her with gracious smiles and a few exchanges of pleasantries, ofcourse she speaks in her own language and usually says 'baikke baikke' or even 'bai bai' at times.

The excursion takes a route close to a small stream of water that houses a lot of birds, in particular the ducks that are quite keen on being fed almost round the clock. While her parents buy some bird food from the superstore or carry along some old bread, Little Anya enjoys the bird feeding episode very much.

When Little Anya's convoy arrives close to the fourth bridge over the stream ( sometimes even the third bridge), the ducks swarm around her and await their routine meal. Sometimes they come close to Little Anya and they communicate with each other well and Little Anya's parents and the passerbys witness all the kwack kwack and baikke baikke that prevails in the air.

Thanks to these bird feeding expeditions, Little Anya shows little more recognition for the concept of a duck ( next to that of a dog ofcourse !)
