The one with the grandparents

Little Anya has been quite lucky to have a visit from both the set of grandparents and she was ofcourse quite happy to provide free entertainment and a full time occupation for them and they have been providing the precious 'covering fire' for her parents as a respite.

The grandparents from her mom's side came first and that is when Little Anya had just about started to make sounds and turn around on her own.She kept them busy all the time and vice versa !

She got a lot of presents from them including dresses, some traditional Indian herbal remedies and amongst other things they also got her silver anklets. These adorn Little Anya's cute little feet. Ofcourse they also serve as an early warning system for her parents when Little Anya is about to wake up from her slumber or is upto something with her feet.

She was quite quick to know them and liked being with them. Ofcourse she was growing heavier by the day hence it was not an easy task to carry her around, although she liked that ! She also got her Baby Gym during those days and learnt to workout in her own noisy way.

Then it was a time for the grandparents from her dad's side to visit. They managed to find Little Anya in a state that was full of movements, sounds , gestures and moods. Little Anya had become a bit more 'user friendly' by then. One could do many playful things with her. At the same time, she was deep into the habit of moving herself on the floor.

They celebrated her 6 months outside her mom with a lot of presents. Yes, she got a lot of stuff from her fanclub back home in India. Golden bracelets, silver utensils and a golden chain amongst other nice things. Little Anya along with her complete 'decorations' has ofcourse been photographed in abundance that day.





Little Anya's 'royal regalia' makes it difficult for her mom to conduct routine feeding, burping business, hence she does not wear it that often, more of a cermonial phenomenon it is. Yes, some are born with a silver spoon and the rest get it thrust upon them by their moms!!

the haircut incident..

For many weeks, a serious conspiracy against Little Anya's growing hair, was being meticulously planned and thought all over in the head. Finally the plot was hatched a few days ago and executed when Mommy decided to subject Little Anya's growing hair to some serious scissor treatment. The results were quite satisfactory despite the doubting 'Thomas' around. Now Little Anya sports a very fresh look and everyone has had to admit that despite all her lovely hairlocks, this look has its own beauty too !


Mommy and Daddy have recently discovered that a cozy blanket, the Baby Gym and Little Anya could be quite an interesting combination especially when Little Anya is fresh and has a lot of energy while her parents are longing for some respite.

Little Anya has taken to the whole blanket and gym concept very well, she gets extremely elated when she finds herself thoroughly entagled in the blanket. Certain quarters have expressed shock and disbelief on her parents using such 'dangerous' tactics to keep Little Anya occupied. However, all such concerns have been promptly put to rest with the argument that everything happens under the aegis of 'parental guidance' and whatever could not be put to rest has been dispelled and brushed aside ! Afterall, her parents would not like to miss this excellent opportunity for yet another photo-shoot !

Yes that was a special evening when Daddy came to realise the special powers that he had been bestowed with. He managed to put Little Anya to sleep by playing the guitar to her. He could not believe his eyes when he saw the Little Anya struggling to keep her eyes open and eventually giving in to the comfort of sleep.

This ofcourse raises certain other important and pertinent questions about Daddy's guitar playing skills."Does he USUALLY manage to put his audience to sleep when he plays?" for example could be a question that an objective witness might like to pose. However, basking in the glory of his achievement, Daddy has , atleast for the time being, decided to ignore such philosophical musings.
