Yes, her hair is growing the fastest , although she has grown taller too. It is often a challenge to ensure that she sees stuff other than her own hair. Perhaps one would need to resort to grown up things such as hair clips soon.
Meanwhile our Little Anya is good at raising herself up on her hands like a reptile and is pretty stable while doing that. Ofcourse, the centre of gravity at times takes a hit when an object of attention has to be tasted and is very much outside her reach for example the remote control in the picture above.
Little Anya has been observed to be pretty satisfied and happy while being in this position, so much so that her parents often get some respite while she is busy observing the surroundings in this position..At times she smiles gleefully and that makes her parents feel that they could finish some errands at home leaving her like that.
Ofcourse, when they try to think of the future, they are confronted with the reality that Little Anya will soon start crawling and exploring everything all that should be left untouched. Thought of baby proofing the apartment and visions of Little Anya sitting on cables and taking them apart systematically, one by one often haunt her parents. At present they have decided to cross the bridge when it comes. They dont have much of a choice at present but to wait for Little Anya to be unleashed in the coming months!
Little Anya has started having some solid food these days twice a day. That keeps her tummy from rumbling too much and too often, also helps her go into the 'power save mode' more easily than she otherwise used to do. This also means that she could go to sleep a bit earlier in the nights and her parents could find some quality time together to discuss international politics.
Folks before the photo above is introduced to you, you must appreciate that capturing Little Anya in her moods is often difficult since the big black mean looking camera often makes her conscious. Her parents have been trying to capture the pose where she stretches herself, and her eyes get almost closed due to the big cheeks around and her multiple chins merge into her neck and she makes a nice grunting sound. This usually happens when she is suddenly freed from any encumbrance, such as from the car seat or the baby seater etc. This time they managed to get pretty close . Ofcourse in real life the whole thing is much more majestic. Perhaps this warrants a video clipping...well, a mission for the future !
Little Anya is mesmerised by the light effects. Especially when the sun goes down and leaves long shadows, Little Anya is seen to be ecstatic looking from one wall hanging to the other. She is unable to contain her excitement when her Mom passes the refrigerator and gives her a glimpse of some shiny refrigerator magnets and some coloured pieces of paper !
She still smiles at the sketch of the great wall of China that we have as a wall hanging. Did she really belong to the Ming Dynasty in her past lives ? one wonders !
Well well, my third cup of tea is over and it is difficult to conjure up anymore excuses to have some more .
